Paste a media link into the downloader and start the download from the notch. You can watch progress, pause or resume, and find recent downloads in the same compact view.

Add the tickers you follow to the watchlist above the menu bar. Prices, charts, and direction changes stay compact and easy to check between tasks.

Frequently asked questions

What happens after the free trial?

The trial unlocks every TangMeo feature without requiring a TangMeo account; third-party integrations may still require their own accounts or credentials. When the trial ends, activation is required to reopen the workbench, but TangMeo does not delete your shelf, clipboard history, settings, or other local data.

How do updates work, and does my license carry over?

TangMeo checks for available updates automatically, and you can turn off update checks in Settings. Your license is not tied to a specific version, so it continues to work after updates.

Is TangMeo a subscription?

No. TangMeo uses a one-time license, with no recurring subscription or renewal.

What stays local, and what connects to the internet?

Clipboard history, shelf files, settings, and voice results are stored on your Mac. TangMeo does not require a TangMeo account or include built-in usage analytics. Online features—such as link previews and lyrics, stocks and weather, translation, update checks and app/tool/model downloads, media downloads, cloud sync, and optional remote text processing—connect when enabled or used. Voice Input transcribes on device after its model is downloaded; optional remote enhancement or translation sends transcript text to the selected provider. Teleprompter voice-follow is on-device by default but can use Apple’s server recognizer if you turn off On-device only.

Why does TangMeo ask for system permissions?

TangMeo asks for macOS permissions only for features that use them. Examples include Microphone and Speech Recognition for voice tools, Camera for preview, Calendar and Location for cards, Accessibility for system controls and text insertion, and Screen Recording for OCR translation. Optional features may also request Bluetooth, Notifications, Photos, Automation, System Audio Recording, Media Controls, or Full Disk Access. Denying a permission leaves the rest of TangMeo available; features that depend on it may be limited.

Does TangMeo work on Intel Macs?

No. TangMeo requires a Mac with Apple silicon.

Can I use TangMeo without a built-in notch?

Yes. On a notchless Mac—or on the external display you choose for TangMeo—the interface appears as a floating island at the top of the screen. The workbench and file-drop tools remain available.

What interface languages does TangMeo support?

The interface supports 10 languages: English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Spanish, Italian, and Russian. Voice transcription has separate language coverage.
